Uqsuqtuuq has for thousands of years been a home for Inuit, though the community was actually built to have houses, trading posts, schools, and government buildings in the 1950s. In the intereviews here, Elders talk about how the community has changed in their lifetime. For many, there were only a few small buildings when they first came here, and the community has changed a great deal since then.
